dr. ir. Pierre Gelin

Pierre Gelin is a post-doctoral scientist working in the µFlow Cell at the VUB. He studied bio-engineering at the Free University of Brussels (VUB) and obtained his master degree in 2015. In 2016 he started a PhD under the supervision of prof. Wim De Malsche. His PhD research focused on the integration of high frequency acoustics in microfluidic devices (acoustofluidics) to enhance mass transfer limitations and particle handling. In 2020 Pierre obtained his PhD at the VUB. Since, he has been working in the µFlow Cell, implementing his acoustofluidics knowledge in different industrial projects and the development of novel technologies.
