VUB researcher Agata Kryj travelled to Africa to install the SIMPAQ instrument at the College of Veterinary Medicine of the Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda and the Institute of Primate Research in Nairobi, Kenya. Both local institutions in cooperation with µFlow Cell will field test SIMPAQ in different relevant animal feces samples. SIMPAQ is a novel lab-on-a-disc platform to quantify parasite eggs in stool developed by the µFlow Cell. As a Small Great Project it received financial support from VUB Global Minds funded by VLIR-UOS.
