VUB µFlow Cell starts cooperation with UHasselt IMO-IMOMEC, Voxdale, B4Plastics and InOpSys in a 3-year ICON project to develop a novel sensor platform for online monitoring of micropollutants such as EDCs and PFASs. The molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) technology of the team of Prof. Anitha Ethirajan of UHasselt will be combined with the microfluidics expertise of the team of Prof. Wim De Malsche of VUB with the ambition to establish a robust, stable and reliable sensing methodology with high sensitivity and selectivity, independent of environmental factors, which can offer an economically viable solution for numerous industrial applications.
